Night hikes in New England –Visit New England

By Mary Lhowe

In this unsettled year of 2020, we are socializing in small groups, and outdoors if possible. Don’t let the colder weather deter you! With the right clothing and footwear, outdoor adventuring in November and December in New England can be magical – especially at night.

The Trustees of Reservations owns and preserves historic homes, farms, museums the length and breadth of New England. From now through December, the Trustees will be hosting and guiding nighttime hikes at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich, Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, Appleton Farms in Hamilton & Ipswich, and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln.

Some hikes will be under the full moon; some encourage kids and families to attend. Sign up soon; attendance is limited and events by the Trustees are always popular.
